Containerised Blast Rooms
Airblast have a range of containerised blast room systems which offer an affordable solution when a weatherproofed or transportable blast room is required.
When converting a mass produced enclosure into a containerised blast room system, nothing compares to a standardised shipping container. These sturdy and watertight enclosures lend themselves perfectly for conversion to blast rooms.
Besides standard shipping sizes (10ft, 20ft and 40ft), we are able to offer an enclosure built on the principles of a shipping container, but manufactured to any size. Where transportability, outdoor location or adherence to a tight budget is important these units are very popular.
Modular Blast Rooms
For a more bespoke facility design our modular system offers a more flexible solution than our containerised blast rooms.
These blast rooms are made primarily from a standard 2mm galvanised steel formed panel complimented with heavy duty doors and door frames. They can be built up to almost any shape and size from a 10ft cube to a booth capable of enclosing a rail carriage and beyond.
Made from heavy gauge steel and powder coated, our blast room cargo doors are robust enough for the harshest blast environments. The hinge is manufactured from 10mm plate to guarantee no door sagging even over wide openings.
Plastic Media Blast Rooms
Due to the controlled nature of Plastic Media Stripping or PMS the need for a booth built from steel is negated. The Airblast PMS Blast Booth is manufactured from "eurobond" lamella panels with a white internal and outer face (smooth polyester).
The panels stand vertically and are the full height of the booth. Vertical jointing of the panels is via a pre formed "tongue and groove" edge. The reflective white walls enhance lighting levels while the insulated construction offers sound attenuation. What's more, the use of light weight materials allows for quick assembly.
On larger blast booths Airblast can install a Megadoor. All Megadoors are specifically engineered for the particular application being considered, and are installed and maintained by local firms who specialize in servicing the aerospace industry. Each door is constructed to ISO9000 certified quality assurance criteria to provide extremely reliable service at a very low life-cycle maintenance cost.
Weather Proof Blast Rooms
Airblast weather proof blast rooms utilise the structural steel of a portal frame building to replace the blue "diaphragm" plates seen on our modular blast room. By cladding the outside of this frame with plastisol cladding and lining the inside with our usual blast booth walls we build a surprisingly economical external booth.
Our weatherproof blast rooms can be designed to incorporate any type of media recovery system. All we require to put together a quotation is your criteria for the machinery to be included and size required plus your postcode. We can then use this information to design your building in line with building requirements specific to your postcode. Should you decide to proceed with our proposal this design will then be transposed into a pre-cut kit of parts delivered to your site for assembly.
