DUOMIX 333 PFP now certified for offshore operation
Airblast Eurospray are proud to announce that in addition to their current range of ATEX approved equipment, our supplier WIWA, has received certification from Lloyd's Register for a DUOMIX unit. The DUOMIX 333 PFP unit satisfies the requirements for operation in a Zone 1 hazardous area in which an explosive gas atmosphere is likely to occur in normal operation (BS EN 60079-10-1:2009. ATEX Designation CE II2Gc IIB T3).
WIWA offer a wide range of plural application systems for intumescent coatings and there are currently over 300 DUOMIX systems in use worldwide. In the eventuality of a fire, the steel structure of a building will eventually collapse once the steel attains the critical core temperature (around 550°C). An intumescent coating will delay this process by creating a layer of char between the steel and fire.
Typical DUOMIX systems include heated insulated pressure tanks, electrical and/or pneumatic agitators, multi-purpose, easy-to-transport frames, a pressure and metering monitor providing automatic shutdown, material feed with shovel pumps, shovel pumps mounted on pneumatic rams and mechanical level control for the pressure tanks with automatic refill.
Airblast Eurospray understands that passive fire proofing coatings save lives by keeping emergency exits, stairways, roof structures and the like accessible for longer during an emergency. As such we demand the highest standards for safety and quality in our equipment and, as the official distributor for WIWA in the UK and Ireland, we are proud to be able to offer their equipment both for sale and for hire.
