The Airblast Air Pulse System comprises of cylindrical felted
fabric filter elements with internal zinc coated wire support
frames.
Contaminated
air is drawn through the filter elements, the contaminant
is deposited on the outer surface of the filter elements.
Efficiencies of up to 99.99% can be achieved.
Cleaning of the filter elements is achieved by pulsing compressed
air through jet tubes mounted on the clean side of the filter
element.
The jet
tubes are mounted above zinc coated venturis which increase
the air volume injected into the filter element.
The momentary reversal of air flow caused by the ‘Air
Pulse’ creates an expansion of the filter element sufficient
to break and dislodge the matrix of contaminant which has
developed on the outer surface of the filter element.

Airblast utilise a Viledon Cartridge for dust removal as they
not only give you more performance but also they have been proved
to last longer than other manufacturers. This combined with
their compact construction and economy make them an obvious
choice.
As the manufacturer with the widest range of non woven technologies,
Freudenberg produce top quality materials for maximised filtering
performance. Viledon dust removal filters are designed to meet
the requirements of specific applications from the development
of custom-made media through to the finished product.
The Twist & Fix filter cartridges are available in four
nominal diameters, each in standard heights of 300, 600, 1000,
1200 and 1500 mm, with injection-molded flange made of glassfiber-reinforced
polyamide, for installation from the clean-gas or the raw-gas
side.
Airblast in certain instances also incorporate he pa dust collectors in their systems.
Construction
details
The filter medium is protected by a centering collar. Patented
spacer ribs on both sides of the flange ensure correct mounting
as well as optimum sealing against the system’s air
entering compartment.

A compact electrical unit controls our low maintenance reverse
jet systems. This continuously displays the pressure differential
across the cartridge allowing the condition of the filter elements
to be monitored without interrupting operations. The unit is
programmed to clean the cartridges automatically once a predetermined
pressure differential has been exceeded. This prolongs the life
of the cartridges compared to those used in conventional systems
because the cartridges are only pulse clean when the filters
need cleaning. The benefits of our systems over that of conventional
systems are that they rely on continuous feedback from a pressure
gauge. Using a conventional pneumatically controlled fixed timer
system not only increases compressed air requirements but also
will have detrimental effects to the cartridges by exposing
the filter element to the forceful pulses of air often unnecessarily
(i.e. when the cartridges are clean). Our
units can also be fitted with audio or visual alarm systems
to warn the user if the unit is operating outside the machines
design parameters.

The Airblast ‘E’ Series Filter Modules are based
on a standard design which results in similar methods of operation.
Giving maximum efficiency whilst at the same time keeping capital
and maintenance costs to a minimum.
The filter media is arranged in the form of a multi vee section
with a common base. The filter media base frame is sealed and
bolted to a false floor within the main cabinet. The basic specification
will include cotton media.
However, other alternatives can be supplied dependent upon the
peculiarities of the dust being handled.
The ‘E’ Series filter modules are manufactured from
heavy gauge mild steel sheet.
All joints are of a welded or bolted construction and are sealed
prior to painting.
All ‘E’ Series filter modules are paint finished
utilising a base coat consisting of a hard, durable isomer coating
which offers protection against chipping, salt, damp and rust.
The top coat is an industrial quick drying enamel, semi-gloss,
all weather finish.
The standard 4 cu. ft. quick release bin is positioned towards
the front face of the filter module for easy access. A single
action locking mechanism and positive location ensure a good
air seal. |

Based on our Air Pulse Cartridge Collector with adaptations
to suit site conditions. This robust portable extractor is
fitted with four collection bins adapted to be emptied whilst
the collector is still in operation. The floor-mounted fan
has a higher-pressure rating allowing it to over come resistance
caused by flexible ducts commonly used on site applications.
By utilising a silencer the unit gives powerful dust extraction
on sites where noise brake out levels is tightly controlled.
|
|
 |
By equalising the pressure between the dirty side of the extractor
and the collection bin we are able to drop a plastic bag into
the bin. By sealing the bag with a tie-wrap prior to its disposal
the operative is eliminated from exposure to dust that he would
normally be exposed to if the bin was tipped directly into a
skip. |

Very portable extractor fans 500 to 2500 cfm rating available
240 or 110 volt 0.5 to 1.5 HP. Vent tanks or other enclosed
spaces with these handy mobile units using flexible hoses. Dust
retaining socks supplied on request. We supply socks to fit
your existing unit. |
