Virgin Brown Aluminium Oxide is a sharp, fast-working abrasive ideally suited for hand cabinets and blast rooms. Used wet or dry, where ferrous blasting abrasives are not suitable due to the risks of corrosion and magnetisation involved. Ideal for extremely hard workpieces. Reclaimed aluminium oxide is a cheaper alternative to virgin brown but not as cost affective, due to increased breakdown when blasting at high pressures. Steel Grit, Steel Shot and Chilled Iron

Chilled iron grit is a white iron structure which cuts on impact rather than wearing round. Iron and steel grits are frequently used to etch structural steel and components prior to coating with paint, metal spray or plastics. Chilled iron is most commonly used in a blast room where the benefits of its fast working action, lack of dust generation and increased impact cycles come into their own. Steel shot is made from high carbon steel which is tempered to give durability and resistance to fracture, used both for peening and cleaning. Typical applications include metal improvement, stress relief, removal of heat treatment residue, mill scale, rust and paint and sand from castings. Steel grit tends to clean a little quicker than shot but breaks down at a faster rate. It is essential that media is kept in a moisture free environment, otherwise it may solidify. Metallic abrasives are available in three different types; suitability depends on application. Plastic Media, available to Industrial or MIL specifications. For selective or delicate coating removal on high value products. Plastic blasting media works faster and creates less residue than chemical paint strippers or other media. Our media products are manufactured from thermoset plastics geared to perform rapidly and minimize waste. When applied to hard or delicate surfaces at the appropriate process parameters, our materials rapidly remove the unwanted paint or coating. Compared to chemicals, our process maintains a favorable environment inside and outside your facility. Packed in 25 Kg cartons. Process is faster, cheaper and environmentally more acceptable than chemical stripping.

Produced from soda-lime, glass beads are used for peening and the removal of almost any surface blemish. They can be used safely for texturing or producing attractive cosmetic finishes, without damaging the base material. Being totally inert, there is no risk of corrosion or any contamination whatsoever. Unless excessive blasting occurs, there is no alteration in the dimensions of the treated surfaces. An expendable synthetic mineral abrasive which is widely favoured for open nozzle blasting applications by virtue of its fast rates. A wide range of grades is available to suit most applications. custom grades are available upon request to meet your specific application. Order from a bag to a lorry load. Stainless Steel Grit

Airblast Hi Chrome is a high quality, non-rusting cast stainless steel grit, which has been specially hardened and crushed. Hi Chrome is a very aggressive media, with a hardness of 62HRC (750 HV). Its non-rusting characteristics, high durability and excellent performance make it an ideal alternative to Aluminium Oxide, Garnet and other angular mineral grit abrasives used in surface prep and other applications. Hi Chrome can also provide temporary rust protection on blasted ferrous surfaces, thereby offering an excellent alternative to mild steel grit. It has demonstrated that it can reduce overall blasting costs through the exceptional performance levels, durability and reduced wear on nozzles and associated air blast system components. Users of Hi Chrome are able to maintain a stable blasting process when compared to using mineral grit abrasive. Also, Hi Chrome is virtually dust free, which improves visibility in air blast systems and leads to shorter blasting times with significantly less waste. In addition to the typical air blast applications, Hi Chrome opens the door to use in centrifugal wheel machines, thereby reducing or eliminating high compressed air costs. For example, large increases in blasting efficiency can be realized in the investment casting finishing application.

Airblast Olivine is a naturally occurring silica free material of low specific density and is available in four sizes. Olivine is particularly good for many light blasting applications, and has proven very popular with expendable users. It is sand coloured and highly suitable for wet blasting and building cleaning where darker medias may cause a nuisance, for instance on clean up or with impingement. Airblast Olivine being iron free and containing no free silica can also be used on stainless steel and aluminium surfaces for coating preparation or removal applications. Available in standard 50kg vapour sealed lined paper sacks packed on 1.25 tonne pallets, or purchased by the bag.

Stone building facades and monuments. Stainless Steel. Our GMA Garnet has many unique and money saving advantages: Superior cleaning rate - up to twice the performance of conventional expendable abrasives, with more grains per volume (typical 28 million grains per kilogram) of active abrasive particles impacting the surface. You can achieve a rate of 20-25m2 per hour. SA3 White Metal is effortlessly achieved. The shape and size of the grains ensure an even surface profile of 45-55 microns at 100psi at the blast nozzle.
